Customers are responsible for providing SJC Drums with the correct shipping address prior to their order being shipped.
After a package has been shipped, the customer is responsible for ensuring they are available to receive the shipment. With the tracking number, customers can utilize FedEx Delivery Manager® to have their shipment held at a facility for pickup.If shipping to a business, the customer is responsible for alerting the business of the incoming shipment and ensuring that they can receive the shipment.
If the shipment is refused or unable to be delivered for any reason, SJC Drums will not be responsible for freight charges to re-send the shipment.
We send all shipments with signature NOT required. If you need signature service added please contact us prior to your order being shipped.
SJC Drums is not responsible for any lost/missing packages that are showing delivered on the tracking provided by the shipping carrier.
If the tracking for a package is showing lost in transit, please contact SJC Drums so we can open a trace with the shipping carrier.
Multi-package shipments with large boxes can frequently get split up in transit. This is normal and the remaining packages are typically delivered within the next day or two. If you only receive part of your shipment, check your tracking number for the most up to date and accurate information regarding the rest of your packages.
Tracking numbers can take 24-48 hours after being created to populate with results.
International customers are responsible for any import duties/taxes charged by their country at the time of delivery. This is in addition to any international freight charges.
If your shipment arrives damaged, please keep all packaging and contact SJC Drums immediately.

- 6.25% tax will be applied to shipping addresses in Massachusetts
- Turnaround time is determined on specs, signed quote, cleared deposit payment, final specs, and artwork approval (if applicable)
- A 50% non refundable deposit is required to get your order in to production
- The remaining balance is due within 30 days of balance due notice. If not paid within that time frame, your deposit will be forfeited and we reserve the right to sell your order.

- All sales are final: No cancellations, exchanges, or returns accepted. If you cancel a custom order after deposit is placed, your deposit will be forfeited.
- If you want to make a change to your order after the deposit has been placed, in addition to the potential up-charge of specs, there will be a $100 fee per change added to your balance to cover backend admin paperwork
- If we make a mistake in production, we reserve the right to sell the incorrect product
- We retain the right to use any artwork we create, use the finish created on your drum for other drums, and post the product and process of creating it on our social media
- Your order may be subject to run through an authorized dealer, in which case pricing may change
- We reserve the right to cancel an order if the form of payment has been identified as invalid or fraudulent
YOU WILL BE CHARGED 100% AT CHECKOUT AND WE WILL SHIP TO YOU ON OR BEFORE THE DATE LISTED ON THE PRODUCT PAGE. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO HAVE A 30 DAY GRACE PERIOD OF SHIPMENT DUE TO UNFORESEEN DELAYS.
FOR NEW ORDERS:
SHELLS, FINISHES AND DRUM HARDWARE ARE GUARANTEED FREE OF DEFECTS IN MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR FROM THE ORIGINAL FULFILLMENT DATE OF NEW DRUMS TO THE ORIGINAL OWNER.
ALL WARRANTY CLAIMS AND EVALUATIONS ARE TO BE DIRECTED TO SJC DRUMS DIRECTLY. PROOF OF PURCHASE AND ORIGINAL OWNERSHIP IS REQUIRED FOR ANY WARRANTY CLAIMS. SJC DRUMS WILL REPAIR OR REPLACE DEFECTIVE COMPONENTS FREE OF MATERIAL AND LABOR COST WITH COMPARABLE OR FUNCTIONALLY EQUIVALENT PARTS TO THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER UPON RETURN TO SJC DRUMS.
ANY SHIPPING DAMAGE EXPERIENCED UPON INITIAL RECEIPT AFTER PURCHASE MUST BE REPORTED TO SJC DRUMS WITHIN 10 DAYS OF DELIVERY. ORIGINAL PACKAGING MUST BE KEPT AS EVIDENCE.
DRUM SHELLS REFER TO THE CYLINDRICAL BODY OF THE INSTRUMENT AND RELATED COMPONENTS SUCH AS REINFORCEMENT RINGS, BEARING EDGES, AND FINISH (LACQUERS, STAINS, WRAPS, INLAYS, VENEER AND ANY COMBINATION OF THE AFOREMENTIONED TYPES)
DRUM HARDWARE REFERS TO ANY AND ALL PLATED METAL COMPONENTS CONSISTING OF, BUT NOT LIMITED TO LUGS, COUNTER HOOPS, THROW OFFS, BUTT PLATES, TENSION RODS, TOM BRACKETS, HANGING MOUNTS, BASS DRUM SPURS AND ANY RELATED MOUNTING HARDWARE.
THIS LIMITED FACTORY WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:
DRUMHEADS AND NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR.
NON-STANDARD, HAND-PAINTED OR WOOD-BURNED FINISHES
ANY MODIFICATIONS OR ALTERATIONS MADE TO ORIGINAL FACTORY PARTS, SHELLS, OR FINISHES.
DAMAGE CAUSED BY NEGLECT, TEMPERATURE OR MOISTURE EXTREMES (INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO DIRECT SUNLIGHT, EXCESSIVE HEAT, FREEZING TEMPERATURES AND/OR DIRECT EXPOSURE TO THE ELEMENTS.)
SHELL DAMAGE CAUSED BY UNEVEN TUNING
DAMAGE DUE TO MISHANDLING, NEGLECT, IMPROPER SETUP, OVER TIGHTENING OF TENSION RODS (I.E. STRIPPED LUGS OR LUGS SEPARATING/SNAPPING)
DAMAGE IN TRAVEL, SHIPPING DAMAGE OR USE UNDER OTHER THAN WHAT IS CLASSIFIED AS NORMAL PLAYING CONDITIONS.
DRUMS PURCHASED FROM A SOURCE OTHER THAN SJC DRUMS OR AN AUTHORIZED SJC DRUMS DEALER.
USED PRODUCTS SOLD BY SJC DRUMS.
ANY OWNER OTHER THAN THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER
YARD SALE, USED ITEMS, DRUMS PURCHASED FROM A 3RD PARTY AND NOT SJC DIRECT OR AN AUTHORIZED DEALER, AND B STOCK ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS NOT TRANSFERRABLE.
NORMAL CHANGES IN WOOD GRAIN, FADING OF COLOR AND/OR AGING OF ANY FINISH.
FACTORY INSTALLED PRODUCTS NOT MANUFACTURED BY SJC DRUMS SUCH AS LED LIGHTING/CONTROLS AND/OR OTHER CUSTOM INSTALLATIONS.
ALL ACETATE BASED DRUM COVERINGS OR ANY DRUM COVERINGS PRONE TO SHRINKAGE, BUBBLING OR DAMAGE FROM THE ELEMENTS.
INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE THAT OCCURS AS A RESULT OF AN SJC PRODUCT DEFECT.
LOST OR MISPLACED PARTS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO TENSION RODS THAT HAVE FALLEN OUT AND SCREWS THAT HAVE BEEN LOST.
THE FOLLOWING ARE FYI OF ACRYLIC SHELLS AND VOID WARRANTY:
Do not use windex or cleaners with ammonia on acrylic shells - this can lead to cracking of the shell and will void any warrantyAcrylic shells are fragile and may crack over time due to, but not limited to: mishandling, dropping, over tightening, improper tuning techniques. These situations are not covered under the SJC Drums warrantyAcrylic shells may have flat spots, not be 100% round, have visible seams (and even dimpling in the seam), and show minor scratches - this is part of the fabrication process and will not affect sound, playability, or integrity of the shell and we have no liability for warranty claims for these items
We cannot guarantee 100% matching with a match or add-on drum
Exact color matches on custom products that are designed after a previous order, or an add-on, are not guaranteed . Variances in monitor colors, aging of the original drum finish, wood tone, or batches of paint can vary slightly and we may not longer have access to specific stains, paints, wraps, and/or parts/hardware (lug mounting screws, tension rods, badge screws, badges, etc.)
Stains and other organic finishes can vary every time they are done and are influenced by multiple factors including the shade of the natural wood. As such, we can never guarantee an exact match on any stain finishes
The customer will be notified before the purchase if there are variations in outward facing parts/hardware that may be different than those used on the original drums
While we do our best to match, the customer must be aware that slight variations may exist and while the drum will be under standard warranty, returns/refunds will not be accepted
Customer will send one drum to SJC in order for us to best match colors/specs
No orders can be processed without the customer sending in a current drum to match
We can’t guarantee a 100% match on specs/materials as pieces and finishes can change
Customer is responsible for shipping charges to and from SJC for drum sent back for matching
CUSTOM COLOR FINISHES: Due to variances in displays, for custom finish colors SJC Drums require the customer provide a Pantone color code for the color they are requestingSJC Drums cannot guarantee an exact match to how the Pantone color displays on various screens
OUT OF WARRANTY REPAIRS:
> IF A REPAIR NEEDS TO BE MADE AND THE ITEM IS NOT UNDER WARRANTY, WE WILL CHARGE COST ON THE PRODUCT + LABOR + RETURN SHIPPING.
> TURNAROUND DEPENDS ON THE TYPE OF PRODUCT BUT TYPICALLY DONE WITHIN 6 WEEKS.
> WHEN SHIPPING A DRUM BACK TO SJC DRUMS, BE SURE TO PACKAGE THE DRUM PROPERLY AND INSURE EACH INDIVIDUAL DRUM FOR AT LEAST $500 USD.
> SJC DRUMS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE DURING SHIPPING BACK TO SJC DRUMS.
WARRANTY CLAIMS CAN BE SUBMITTED THROUGH THE FORM BELOW AFTER READING THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
PROOF OF PURCHASE/ORIGINAL SALES RECEIPT WILL BE REQUIRED FOR ANY VALID CLAIM.
CUSTOMER IS TO WAIT FOR INSTRUCTIONS FROM SJC DRUMS BEFORE PRODUCT CAN BE RETURNED.
NO PRODUCT RETURNS WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT FIRST OBTAINING A RETURN AUTHORIZATION (RA) NUMBER.
RA NUMBER MUST BE CLEARLY WRITTEN ON SHIPPING CONTAINERS FOR PRODUCT RETURNS.
ANY AND ALL SHIPPING CHARGES WILL BE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PURCHASER.
THIS WARRANTY GIVES THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF SJC DRUMS PRODUCTS SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS. HE OR SHE MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY BY STATE, COUNTRY OR PROVINCE. THESE PROVISIONS AND LIMITED WARRANTY ARE COVERED BY THE LAWS WHERE THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE TOOK PLACE. SJC DRUMS, THE WARRANTOR UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, RECOGNIZES THAT THIS AGREEMENT IS ENFORCEABLE ONLY TO THE EXTENT AND IN THE MANNER PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAWS.TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS LIMITED WARRANTY ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. ALL PRODUCTS WARRANTED UNDER THIS SPECIFIC COVERAGE WILL BE HONORED FOR THE WARRANTY PERIOD MENTIONED ABOVE.
